Stacey F: "Participating in the prenatal classes offered by Joan not only helped minimize aching back and leg muscles during my pregnancy, but I really feel that the breathing techniques I learned and increased stamina I gained from weekly exercise and strength building helped me through my delivery. Of course the hip opener poses came in handy when my legs were tied around my ears when it came time to push too. I highly recommend attending as many prenatal yoga classes as possible. Now that I’ve had my baby, I’m easing back into my yoga practice as a graduate returning to class, and it has been wonderful to share in the great positive energy that the classes offer." Marni S: "Prenatal yoga has been and continues to be a benefit to me through my pregnancy in mind, body and spirit. No matter how I feel when I arrive, I ALWAYS feel better when I leave. My body, while uncomfortable at times, releases stiffness, soreness and swelling through my yoga experience. I love connecting with the other mommies-to-be and sharing information. The camaraderie is full of support and love. My husband tells me that I sound like I'm floating on a cloud when I come home from yoga, yet my energy is soaring. I truly believe that my yoga participation throughout most of my pregnancy has helped me to continue working full time, kept me comfortable most of the time and helped me maintain my inner peace even during stressful times." Stephanie S: "After four and a half years of not being pregnant, prenatal yoga put me back in touch with how it feels. I enjoyed the stretching, reflecting, and opportunity to meet moms-to-be due around the same time. I have formed some dear friendships from my sessions with Joan. Prenatal yoga was very special to me as a second time mom." |
